Los Cabos is a municipality that occupies the southernmost tip of Baja California Sur, the west peninsula of Mexico. It is composed of two major areas: San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, both tourist destinations. 2. Visit the historical Parroquia San José
Parroquia San José, or Church of St. John, is one of the oldest mission churches in Baja California Sur. Its Romanesque design gives it a very simple but sturdy and clean design that lets it stand out. The original church was built in the 18th century, but it was severely damaged in a hurricane in the early 1900s and it had to be rebuilt during that time. The interior of the church is also mostly from last century, but it still retains some elements of the original mission church, like the tiles and the altar.
